Georgian Data Protection Leaders Participate in International Congress on Personal Data Protection

On October 1, 2024, the founders of the Association of Personal Data Protection Officers of Georgia—Professor Nika Aswanua, Professor Zurab Aznaurashvili, and Professor Giorgi Mirianashvili—participated in the 10th International Congress organized by the Italian Association of Personal Data Protection Officers (ASSO DPO) in Milan, Italy. The Congress focused on critical issues in personal data strategy, including the GDPR, the Artificial Intelligence Act, and more.

During the Congress, the Georgian representatives shared updates with European partners on Georgia's advancements in personal data protection standards. They also showcased the InfoLock platform, a cutting-edge data protection solution with no equivalent in Eastern Europe.

Looking ahead, the Georgian delegation announced plans to host a Global Data Protection Forum in January 2025. This event aims to bring together Data Protection Officers from Georgia and Europe, fostering collaboration and strengthening the professional community in the field of data protection.
